The topic 'Why so many rude people' finally made me post this. This is to the moderators: I request you to ban the player HGWINS for extremely rude, offensive behavior. At least for 3 weeks or so as a punishment Please check our CHAT LOGS for the last 2-3 weeks: He REPEATEDLY INSULTS me by calling me PIG SHIT or OTHER EXTREMELY RUDE words, especially when he looses. Just because he has been playing the game for a long time (he is level 31) does not give him the right to do so. You can also see from the chat logs that i DON'T do the same. Of course i am not very nice to him (are you nice to someone if that persons calls you PIG SHIT?) but i never use these kind of rude words. I agree to the poster from the other topic: there are a lot of other rude or not so nice people there as well. But HGWINS definitly crosses a line, so moderators: Yes the game is probably not so important to you anymore, you concentrate on Astral heroes and that is fine. But please don't forget that Spectro still is a brilliant game and don't let these rude people ruin it. So please ban this extremely rude player, at least for 3 weeks. 3-4 days are not enough to make him change his behavior. Modified by plong on 2017-01-25 15:38:42 mamoulian | 2017-01-29 14:12:32 |
He's a sore looser for sure. Sadly. :)

As much as I love Spectro and want to see it keep going, the reality is that the devs are primarily concerned with their newer game, Astral Heroes, which is fair enough. That doesn't mean they don't still support Spectromancer, but I think it means they may not see such issues when brought up here on the forums. You may want to try emailing [email protected] instead, as they are more likely to see your complaint that way.
In truth though, while they can probably still respond to issues that are sent to them, I honestly think your best bet is to simply blacklist anyone whose rudeness you don't want to deal with, and be done with it. People like that are going to keep cropping up, because that's just how some people are. The best response to them is to simply ignore them.
I don't like just blacklisting these kind of people. It feels a bit like looking away when someone commits a crime in real life. These kind of people need to be taught a lesson, they need to be punished. Ban them from the game like the piece of trash they are.

Ultimately though, if everyone blacklists them, they are punished by having no one left to play with.

Right in theory, but we both know this does not happen. Besides, they get the opportunity to slap/insult (almost) everyone at least once before being blacklisted.
hey, a new thread
to celebrate, i'll chip in my two cents!
it seems funny to me when i'm beating someone and they flip out and start calling me names, it just shows how badly they lose and how sore losers they are
on the other hand, trash talking while they're winning can be annoying (but so much the better if i manage to swing the game eventually) and of course the blacklist is an option here i guess
i am under the impression that the devs were somewhat reluctant to enforce account bans in general. i guess it must have happened, but not a lot. the player base was always healthy enough to go by (despite the rare exceptions)

And I think he is a cheater. we cant back to the game hall when he surrendered each time .it did not only happened to me .it happened to my many friends when they played against HGWINS. Then he came back to the game hall but we still in the game.so we cant saw he proposed another duel.then he would be rude. i think he used some plugins result in these situation. vvjacobo | 2017-02-08 16:56:23 |

This person today, player HGWINS, we were having a duel for like 15 min, and when I was about to finish him in the next turn he just disappeared, no move - but time was not running out. I was forced to surrender to move on. Old cheat, I have seen it before too.
Now, this player seems accustomed to this kind of behavior. Why does this cheater keep login in in this game. Why is he not banned indefinitely?
Anyway, I am uninstalling this game for good, no point in losing time this way.
there is a way to safely work around that behavior! (and i really doubt it gives your opponent the win if you don't surrender voluntarily)
you just press ctrl-alt-del and terminate the spectromancer thread
then start the game again and log in
there is a feature in the game that puts you back into any duel in progress that you have disconnected from (for any reason)
so: if your game was really in progress (and your screen had just frozen or something) then you will continue playing - no harm done!
but if your opponent was trying to trick you into surrendering, you will just appear in the main game channel without having lost any XPs (meaning: you will have earned XPs according to your win)

NO, doesn't work, it gives him the win anyway. And even if I
didn't loose any XPs, I still don't get the win - which after 15m of
playing was mine.
i don't think so! are you 100% sure about this? have you recorded your XPs before and after the duel? i have played this game for a LONG time. after each duel you will either earn or you lose XP. there is no case where your XP stays the same. it would be very strange if this happened to you

Yes, its pathetic that HGWINS is not banned permanently by the mods even though so many different players who don't know each other state the same. I understand that they are concentrating on AH, but setting some invalid-flg in the database takes only a couple of minutes, so there is no argument in terms of effort.
maybe they don't even watch over these forums any more plongs | 2017-10-06 09:59:33 |
By the way, i will play much less in the future because the iphone-version of the game does not work anmyore after the latest iOS update :( Its such the same that the developers don't continue supporting this brilliant game - soon it will be some unknown relict of the past. Is there really noone out there who has the skill, resources and motivation to give this game a second boost on the market? Don't the regulars here miss the monthly tounaments at all? It was so much fun and i miss that time.

maybe they don't even watch over these forums any more Well, at least Wavelength drops by from time to time and it is my understanding that he is in contact with the admins/developers, right?
