This was sustained to the extend I had to quit the game I was playing in order to block him. Shame you cant block som1 from inside a game?

Yeah, just an "arse kicking" would be fine. :P Wavelength | 2015-08-27 05:34:54 |
While it's generally better to handle this kind of thing with a private email to support (or by just ignoring it or fighting back if you can), I think that the large number of similar threads in the last several months does highlight the recent outburst of toxicity that has seemed rampant in the community this year. I know that I for one have had to blacklist about half a dozen players in the last few months alone when, after a good game (where no words of any kind were exchanged), they decided to taunt me, insult me, or in some cases call me by racial or homophobic slurs before making their last move and leaving the lobby. Before 2015 this was an extremely rare occurence.
This kind of behavior goes directly against the directive to "be kind and polite" in the Online League and I truly feel that anyone who can't be kind and polite don't deserve the privilege of playing in the Online League - simple as that. The existence of a blacklist is not an excuse for being an asshole! If you are verbally abusing people, you are breaking a rule. I get that everyone has bad days - I'm not saying a single complaint should be a ban. But if people are consistently reporting a player for verbal abuse, that should be taken seriously and if the chat logs prove that the player consistently exhibits bad manners, that should be grounds for an IP ban.
Don't feel bad for me - in every single one of these cases, I noted the person's name, challenged them to a rematch at the first sight of them, stomped them after they were dumb enough to accept it, and taunted them a bit myself before letting them know there won't be a rematch and adding them to the blacklist. I can be vindictive like that when people are cowardly assholes, and I'm not the least bit ashamed of it. But the fact that this happened in the first place speaks to a rash of bad behavior.Modified by Wavelength on 2015-08-27 20:24:22 minhtuan | 2015-08-27 07:47:39 |
No matter what others say, you can decide how it affects you. No one can hurt you without your consent.

No one can hurt you without your consent. Well, nobody can verbally hurt you without your consent anyway. I agree with the sentiment though. I think assholishness is often a reflection on the person, so you shouldn't punish them any further than they are already punishing themselves. Just blacklist them if you find them annoying, it's fine.

Which only encourage them to find new victim. Better ban permanently. It will teach them at least something

I doubt anybody seriously goes looking for people to troll, apart from that one guy (unknown original account) who just makes a new alt to troll with anyway.

On average I have to block some one once a week for abuse (as above said it could just be same person), I usually think nothing more of it but this one was so bad I thought it worth sharing to see if others have had same. If they have then he needs an IP ban.

If they have then he needs an IP ban. If they have dynamic IP it could affect legitimate accounts, so I really think there is nothing that can be done, just blacklist them or block the key from multiplayer. whats wrong with you guys? can't you handle a few strikes? jerks... /s
from my perspective it would actually be more fun to play vs such guys (and win if you can). as long as they don't slowing game much

The amount of effort that guy put in... lmao (A true master of poetry and spelling yes...)
"Do you think that people like you should have the right to marry?
Huh??
I mean fags like you, the bible says you are sick..."
That would be at least witty and challenging a bit (even if meant serious)...but these retards reach not even an ape in expression!
I had it just 1 time with my Alt: "MonoVamp is a pussy..." in black font (for all to see) xD...even though he was right (without knowing it) and not offending me actually, I mailed Cooler and he was punished a bit...(shit happens!)
In my experience their instinct often works quite well like with all animals...with a bigger mind they actually could become intuitive LOL.
