Promised MikeBnDe that I would post this replay up.
This is one to watch for entertainment more than for learning. You won't believe some of the board positions we hit during this marathon of a Spectro game!
So, the Goblin Glory remains unchanged. It was nice replay. Goblin 7 could have came in handy across that Wall of Cursed Unicorns, but he didn't have one! MikeBnDe | 2015-06-27 17:53:33 |
Hi Wave :) Thanks for posting this repay. Sorry for not accepting your game proposal today, i was away from keyboard (away from iphone, to be more exact) and didn't see it. Cool title btw. Regarding the replay, this is my favorite match ever. Not because we played great (we didn't) - but because it was highly entertaining with absurd board postions. Do i remember correctly that at one time i had 3 Looters out?(which is my new favorite card since that game :-) Modified by MikeBnDe on 2015-06-27 18:35:40 CyberneticPony | 2015-06-27 18:46:58 |

Do i remember correctly that at one time i had 3 Looters out?(which is my new favorite card since that game :-) You are correct, you had 3 looters out in the middle of that. This was one of the funniest games of Spectro I've seen. The funniest thing was how most of these moves were really justified given the board state. Some plays were debateable, but none of them were strictly bad and that's what made this a joy to watch!
I was hoping to see a Reaver come out with a fat Earth Elemental at one point, because Arma wouldn't be able to touch the elemental, but Cursed Unicorn spam was funny anyway!

Glad you enjoyed it, Pony!! Having 4 Cursed Unicorns at once was my favorite part of this game! It's the first time I've ever brought out more than two, and like you said, it was pretty funny how at that point the strategy was justifiable. Horse patrol!!! I believe the reason I didn't use Reaver was because the disabling of my spells would make me extremely vulnerable to Mike's stronger board value or to kill pressure. I remember thinking "Reaver is so useless right now" several times during the game.

The thing was, anything that could really cause problems (like arma) would end up killing the Reaver, allowing you to go straight into E4 after it died. It actually wouldn't have been a bad play. srbhkshk | 2015-06-28 06:29:13 |
Funny game, the whole time i kept thinking, "ok, now is time for wave to attack" , it never came, i think you would have won with just a bit more attacking play wave, but then i wasn't playing and we wouldn't have got such a cool replay that way, so kudos anyway. :D
That was really interesting. Wave did have a win there, but let it slip by playing Titan.

That was really interesting. Wave did have a win there, but let it slip by playing Titan. A couple of the moves were done because I was running out of time to calculate the possibilities, including the obviously faulty Natural Fury at the end which left me open to a kill. But within the few seconds that I had to consider at the end of the replay, Titan didn't feel like an obviously bad move. I assume you're seeing something I don't here. What should I have played that turn? Earth Elemental, Zealot, Rejuvenation, or something different? Fun Fact: 16 of Mike's cards were revealed by about halfway through this game. We never see the final four cards.

Earth 10 (unblocked slot) followed by Earth 6âit puts him in a bind: if he kills the elemental, then he can't block your other creatures, and dies to earth 6. If he uses Armageddon. your elemental survives and powers earth 6. If he blocks with Water 10, same thing, the surviving elemental powers earth 6.

One was fire 1 for sure, and based on the play of the game, I bet the rest were water 2, air 2, and earth 7. Ruby456 | 2015-06-29 21:02:33 |

The spelling of "like" in this sentence genuinely surprised me. But in any case, you have another fan, Wavelength :)

I am in New York City right now without my windows NB, so i cant watch the replay right now, but i will definitely watch it when i am back in germany again. As i mentioned, this is my favorite game of all the games i played. I never felt i had a good game plan when playing, but i think most of the moves were ok. At the end i could not concentrate anymore (i think it was 2am in germany or so) and when Wave dropped one Unicorn after another, i could not help myself and started laughing at the screen, it was so absurd. In the later part of the game, i always felt that Wave had the edge and should have won. Thanks Wave for such an entertaining match and your funny comments when we played it :)
