This is an old class from my notes, The idea is having control of the mana and linking damage to the amount of it.
Class: Powermancer
Power: Flux
Style: Mana control, damage from using cards
Note that in gaining power opponent's special equals player's special power.
1 Power leak
: Decreases opponent's special power by two and deals 2 damage to opponent.
2 Concentration
: Caster skips his/her next turn. Each power of the caster is increased by two. (The creatures still act normally on the next turn)
3 Channeling imp (2/22
): Each time opponent casts a spell (not a creature) owner gains one power of that type and channeling imp's attack is increased by one.
4 Flux guard (4/26)
: All the spell damage done to owner's other creatures is halved.
5 Flux warlock (1/32
): Each time opponent plays a card, opponent's power of that type is decreased by two. Flux warlock deals 5 damage for each power point that cannot be decreased. (e.g. 10 dam if the power is at zero)
6 Channeling wizard (2/30
): Each time opponent loses power* channeling wizard deals 3 damage to opponent per point lost and increases the owner's power of that type by one (NOT per point).
7 Essence drain
: Deals 22 damage to target creature. Opponent's power of that type is decreased by two and the caster gains two power of that type
8 Overflow
: Deals 5 damage to opponent's creatures and to the opponent for each his/her special power. All the other powers are decreased by one.
* I think this would be reasonable to work even when the opponent has zero power. Naturally this doesn't include the normal casting costs, only special effects.
